Mates Program
CHP Mates program is designed for toddlers ages 12 months to 3 years. Mates Bronze, Silver and Gold are designed to be completed in chronological order. If you are unsure of where your toddler may fit please see below our Mates level comparison chart which states all the skills to be performed in the class. All skills listed below must be completed 3 times for a swimmer to progress to the next level.

Mates Bronze (12 - 18 mths)
This level is recommended for 12 to 18 month olds who are being introduced to the water. In addition to becoming comfortable in the water, children will learn a variety of skills including how to safely enter the water, blow bubbles, flutter kick, and float on their front and back with assistance. This level requires parent participation.

Mates Silver (18 - 24 mths)
This level is recommended for children who are 18 to 24 months that have previously completed Mates Bronze. Children should already be comfortable being splashed and putting their face in the water. Children will be introduced to gliding on their front and back, unassisted floats in a lifejacket, retrieving objects from underwater, and blowing bubbles with their face submerged. This level requires parent participation.

This level requires parent participation.
