An Important Note to Parents

On behalf of the Aquatics Department at Cole Harbour Place, I’d like to welcome you to your Private Lesson for this Term! I hope that this will be a rewarding and positive experience for your family. To assist you with any questions or concerns that you may have during the upcoming Term, I’d like to outline some important points to remember regarding PL’s (Private Lessons).

Duration Of Classes

  • Every Semi-PL and PL is 45 minutes.

Missing A Lesson

  • If your child has to miss a class, please call the Aquatics Office at 464-5110 ASAP. We will ensure the Instructor is notified.
  • It is our Policy to make up ALL missed lessons. If a class is missed, it is the parents’ responsibility to speak directly to their Instructor to make arrangements to reschedule missed classes.
  • If you need to contact your Instructor immediately, please call the Aquatics Office and we’ll put you in touch with him/her.
  • Make-up lessons are ONLY rescheduled if you give us at least 12 hrs notification when canceling. If you are simply a “NO Show”, the lesson will NOT be made up and NO credit given.
  • A Semi-PL (2 children) will NOT be made up if one child still attends the scheduled lesson. Both children must cancel the lesson for that day in order for it to be made up.
  • Credits will only be granted as a last resort (i.e. injury, family emergency). Credits will NOT be granted until every effort has been made to make up the missed lessons.

Progression In A PL

  • PL’s provide the opportunity for your child to progress at a pace determined by his/her ability.
  • Please confirm with the Instructor at the start of the 1st lesson what level your child is presently at. If there are any skills that you would like covered, please convey that as well.

Deck Supervisors

  • There is a Deck Supervisor on the pool deck during all swimming lessons. They are there to oversee lessons, help Instructors and to resolve any issue or answer any question that you have. Please feel free to approach them any time during lessons. They are there to HELP you!

Other Issues Or Concerns

  • If the Deck Supervisor is unable to answer your questions or resolve your concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Aquatics Department at 464-5110. Ask for Ray or Matt.
