Rental Regulations

Guaranteed Number Please advise our Food and Beverage Manager of the guaranteed number of guests to be served. This notification should be no later than 96 hours prior to your function. Cole Harbour Place will charge for this number unless the group increases. We will provide service and seating for 5% over the guaranteed number.
Equipment and Liability Cole Harbour Place will not assume any responsibility for loss or damage of personal belongings and/or equipment brought into Cole Harbour Place. For display purposes, please do not use any nails, staples or tape that may damage walls or floor finishes. Costs for damage to Cole Harbour Place property caused by any participants for the function will be charged to the convenor.
Specialty Menus and Theme Dinners In addition to our regular menu, our Cook and Food and Beverage Manager would be delighted to design the perfect menu to meet your requirements. We also offer a selection of nutritional menus.
Credit and Deposits Payments on all accounts is net 30 days. For private parties and weddings, a non-refundable deposit of $250.00 is required at the time of booking. Seventy per cent of the estimated balance is due 20 days prior to your function and is to be paid by credit card, certified cheque or money order.
Cancellations Cancellations for meetings must be received 15 days prior to the scheduled event in order to avoid a cancellation fee of 50 per cent of all anticipated charges.
Cancellations for social events, weddings, dinners etc. Must be received 30 days prior to the scheduled event in order to avoid a cancellation fee of 50 per cent of all anticipated charges.
Liquor and Function Services The sale and service of alcoholic beverages are regulated by the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission. Our liquor service licence does not permit alcoholic beverages to be brought in from private sources or donated by any source. We will attempt to co-operate in certain situations for specialty wine products for which a charge will apply.
No food products are to be brought in from outside sources (wedding cakes are an exception) for consumption. However, should you have any dietary requirements or special needs, please consult with our Food and Beverage Manager.
A bar service charge ($50.00 plus tax) will apply to functions under 50 persons.
Audio-Visual Equipment Our Food and Beverage Manager can assist you with planning and pricing for your audiovisual needs.
