Assistant Water Safety Instructor

This course will develop leadership and instructional skills. Course lengh: 30 hours, 8 of teaching experiences. Prerequisite: 15 years old by the last day of the course. Red Cross Swim Kids 10.

Bronze Cross

This course further enhances initial lifesaving and first aid techniques. Pre requisite: Bronze Medallion and CPR B.

Bronze Medallion

This program teaches basic rescue and CPR B. Prerequisite - 13 years of age & Bronze Star recommended.

Bronze Star

Another new program offered by the Lifesaving Society. This course was designed for keen swimmers who have completed the Canadian Swim Patrol or Red Cross Aquaquest program but are still waiting to turn 13 years old for Bronze Medallion. For any 10 - 13 year old who has these skills, it is the ideal program.

National Lifeguard (Pool Option)

This intensive course involves fitness and participants will receive their National Lifeguard, Standard First Aid and CPR Level C upon successful completion of the course. Pre requisite is Bronze Cross and 16 years of age.
